My name is Katie and at 2 days old I was diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta and pulmonary artery stenosis.

I had surgery at 9 days old in the Children’s Hospital in RVH Belfast & have a lovely scar to show for it 😊. Since then I have travelled to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital numerous times and now have 4 stents in my aorta. My care will be lifelong & I take medication daily to control my blood pressure.
